Training on membership of APINDO in Indonesia
In the context of the cooperation agreement between the Indonesian Employers and Business organisations KADIN and APINDO and DECP, DECP -in cooperation with ITC/ILO- gave follow-up trainings to Indonesian Employers of APINDO.
The participants expressed that the trainings were very successful
The trainings took place on 29 and 30 November in Jakarta and on 2 and 3 December on Bali. The objective was to strengthen APINDO’s membership and as such the training concentrated on membership issues.
The representativeness of the Employers organisations in Indonesia should be enhanced in order to allow for a more effective defense of the interests of business. The training is part of a multi-year cooperation between DECP and the Employers of Indonesia to improve the business climate in the country.
The participants expressed that the trainings were very successful and they committed themselves to try to increase the membership by next year with 10%. In 2011 trainings will be given for KADIN as well as APINDO on strategy and organisational issues of Employers and Business organisations.
