Training of Trainers of Lobbying skills
From 13 to 15 September 2016 a Training of Trainers on Lobby skills was held in Hanoi, with 22 participants. DECP trainer Arnout de Koster presented the state of the art in lobbying. Dirk Joosse of DECP introduced what to focus on during training of these skills to future participants in lobby trainings. Theory and real life exercises made the issue of Lobby/ Advocacy as a means to influence political developments come to life on this hot issue in the current Vietnamese situation with an economy in transition, changing legislation and transforming industrial relations. This was the final skill out of a total of four on which VCCI/ VWEC and DECP cooperate to establish training capacity in Vietnam. Earlier ToT ‘s on Negotiation-, Mediation- and Occupational Safety and Health- skills preceded this ToT on Lobby skill. A second and concluding ToT will be held early next year. VCCI/ VWEC The Club of Trainers will then have four very relevant skills available to support business development in Vietnam with training and consultancy.
