Train the trainers on Occupational Safety and Health (OSH)

From 20 to 24 June DECP and its Vietnamese partner the Vietnam Women Entrepreneurs Council of the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry organized a 3 day Train the Trainers course in Hanoi. The workshop was jointly presented by the OSH-expert Theo-Jan Heesen and the Vietnamese expert Nguyen Hung Cuong who is head of the Safety Work Training Division of the Vietnamese Ministry of Labour. The trainers dealt with risk assessment instruments, Vietnamese OSH legislation and the costs and benefits of OSH. Exercises were done in which the participants had to set up a check list for a risk assessment and to design a training programme. They also visited the textile company Doximex where they – as a practical exercice-  could test their checklist.
