The first generation of trainers trains the second

On 4^th and 5^th of April 2016 a Training of Trainers of negotiation skills, facilitated by Vietnamese trainers of the ‘first generation’ for the ‘second generation’ of Vietnamese candidate trainers,  took place in Ho Chi Minh City. The training is the first of two sessions (second one in June). The start of this Training of Trainers (ToT) was promising. Candidates showed good progress and were very eager to learn how to master knowledge, awareness, skills and attitude necessary to facilitate this training in the future.

DECP expects the Vietnamese trainers to succeed in delivering this ToT to future generations of trainers in Vietnam. This will result in new trainers to be educated exclusively by Vietnamese trainers. This means that the training program will grow independent from our Dutch involvement in the future.  We will proceed by the end of June.  According to our observations during this first training the Vietnamese trainers will live up to DECP’s expectations.
