The 3rd National Conference on Social Dialogue

On 4^th October 2012, the Republican Union of Employers of Armenia (RUEA) organised its 3^rd National Conference on Social Partnership with focus on Social Dialogue in the Regions and Development of Regions. It was attended by several representatives of the members, trade unions and ministries, as well as embassies. Reports were given on main activities of RUEA in the regions. The conference was financially co-sponsored by DECP and it was attended by the country manager for Armenia, J.M. Standaert, who gave a presentation on the Characteristics of Social Dialogue in the EU countries.  He particularly underlined the importance of bi-partite social dialogue in those countries where the government doesn’t seem to be interested in promoting social dialogue.

On the 5^th October he had a fruitful exchange of proposals with the president of RUEA about future cooperation activities: Mr. Makaryan will now develop them in the coming weeks.
