Strategic planning for the East African Employers Organisation

The development of the East African Employers Organisation (EAEO) was the main focus of a  mission to Nairobi for the DECP.  A meeting took place with Jacqueline Mugo (chair elect) of the EAEO during  which the DECP discussed a proposed Strategic Planning workshop which would look at both the short and the long term challenges facing the newly formed EAEO. It was agreed that this meeting should take place before the end of the year if at all possible.

Further meetings took place with Trademark East Africa who are funding the EAEO platform in Arusha and also with Altima Africa who are acting as strategic advisor’s to the EAEO.

The mission was also an opportunity for the DECP to have one of its regular meetings with the Netherlands Embassy in Nairobi to brief them on developments
