Profiling ATE's training and legal services

A two day mission (13-14 March) was undertaken to the Association of Tanzanian Employers (ATE) by Andrew Moore the DECP Country Manager for Tanzania.

The mission provided the opportunity to meet with the new Head of training and to discuss in detail how ATE could improve its marketing of its training courses to its members. This included holding meetings for training managers from their major members during which they can brief them on the training courses available as well as hearing from the members the challenges they are currently facing.

The development of a new “ATE Membership Pack” was also discussed. This pack will provide ATE with a professional tool to use for both recruitment and retention of members by giving a clear summary of what ATE offers its membership.

A new legal team is now in place. The mission provided the opportunity to discuss in detail how this team could enhance their profile with the membership as well as taking a more active role in delivering ATE training.
