Preparing cooperation for 2018

A one day mission to the Employers Federation of Pakistan (EFP) was undertaken by the DECP Country manager. The mission provided the opportunity to discuss current developments within the EFP and the increase in membership and income.

It was agreed that DECP would facilitate and fund a two day EFP Board Retreat in Lahore in February 2018. The retreat would provide the opportunity for the Board to take stock of developments during 2017 and plan for its work in 2018. A key issue to be addressed at the retreat will be the communication between the secretariat and the Board and how this can be improved.

The mission also provided the opportunity to discuss the forthcoming meeting of the South Asian Forum of Employers (SAFE) to be held in Karachi in February 2018.
