Partnership Agreement with the VCCI and workshop on Lobbying and Communication

DECP signed a Partnership Agreement with the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) in Hanoi on the 23^rd of October, 2009. The PA was signed by the first executive vice-president of the VCCI, Mr. Hoang Van Dung on behalf of the VCCI and Mr. Ronald de Leij, director of DECP.

Also the Dutch Ambassador in Vietnam, Mr. Joop Scheffers, was present at the signing ceremony. In his speech Mr. Scheffers emphasized that that the Partnership Agreement encompasses issues which the Embassy thinks are important for stimulating the private sector and hence economic growth in Vietnam

Subjects mentioned in the PA are amongst others: activities to improve the capacity of women leaders in doing business, training programmes on management and leadership skills, collective bargaining and negotiations at enterprise level, Occupational Safety and Health, Lobbying and communication

Preceding to the signing of the PA a workshop on Lobbying and Communication was held in the city of Danang in Central Vietnam for 60 participants, amongst them members of the Vietnam Women Entrepreneurs Council and the Association of Young Entrepreneurs.
