Next steps for the Federation of Uganda Employers in 2013
The DECP Country Manager for Uganda Andrew Moore undertook one of his regular advisory missions to the Federation of Uganda Employers (FUE) from 26 – 30 November 2012. The mission provided an opportunity to discuss with the FUE Executive Director proposed plans for the continued working relationship between FUE and the DECP in 2013. Agreement was reached on a number of issues which included holding a national policy seminar in Kampala in early 2013 as well as membership events in each of the FUE regions.
During the course of the mission the DECP was able to spend a considerable amount of time with the newly appointed Head of Marketing and Membership to discuss in detail how FUE presents itself to its current and potential membership.
The mission also provided the opportunity for the DECP to see the progress being made in the construction of the new FUE offices on the outskirts of Kampala. The FUE are hoping to move to this new offices during the course of 2013.
