Meeting the new CEO of the Private Sector Foundation

A one day mission was undertaken by the DECP to the Private Sector Federation (PSF) based in Kigali on 31 July 2015.

The PSF is the focal point for the private sector in Rwanda and has seen a number of changes as the country develops. The most recent change has been the appointment of a new Chief Executive Officer Stephen Ruzibiza who took up his appointment in June 2015.

The DECP country manager for Rwanda Andrew Moore held a meeting with the new CEO and discussed how the DECP could provide technical support. It was suggested that holding a workshop for senior staff would be a possible way forward. This workshop would build on a similar workshop held in 2014 which had provided a chance for senior staff to work more closely as a team.

The mission also provided the DECP with the opportunity to establish the progress being made on the Wage Indicator Programme which has been well received by the PSF and its members.
