Meeting the East African Business Council and ATE Arusha
A two day mission was undertaken to Arusha by Andrew Moore DECP to meet with a representative from the East African Business Council (EABC) in order to discuss the progress being made by the East African Employers Organisation (EAEO). It was established that the research commissioned by the EAEO to look at barriers to employment within the East African Community (EAC) was nearly complete and that after validation of this research it would form the major part of the work plan for the EAEO for 2013.
The mission also provided the opportunity for Andrew Moore, as Country Manager, to meet with Robert Roghat who represented the Association of Tanzania Employers (ATE) in the region of Arusha. Resulting from the discussion it was agreed that the DECP would support a Breakfast Meeting for ATE in the region for current and potential members. This meeting would be held in early 2013 in Arusha.
