Meeting CAMFEBA and other members of the ASEAN Confederation of Employers (ACE)

The DECP undertook a two day mission to the Cambodian Federation of Employers and Business Associations (CAMFEBA) in Phnom Penh.

The mission provided the opportunity for the DECP to report back to the CAMFEBA Board on the meetings it had held with members of the ASEAN Employers Confederation (ACE) in the Philippines, Indonesia and Thailand. Agreement was reached on a number of actions which could be taken to try and make this organisation more effective.

The proposal for holding a CAMFEBA Board retreat in November supported by the DECP was discussed in detail and agreement was reached on its objectives.

The DECP was advised that a new General Manager had been appointed and would start on 1 October 2016.

Resulting from meetings with senior staff of CAMFEBA agreement was reached on the development of a Membership survey with the results being presented to the CAMFEBA Board in November.
