Joint ILO-ITC and DECP training on 'Resource mobilisation and project design' Turin
From June 1 till 5 2009 a seminar on "Resource mobilisation and project design for employers’ organisations in the Balkan countries and CIS” was organised by ITC-ILO in Turin. The event was co-funded by DECP and the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The trainers were Mrs. Tita Francese and Mr. Harald Hauben.
A total of 23 delegates from employers' organistions from Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Georgia, Kosovo, Macedonia, Moldova, Montenegro, Serbia and the Ukraine attended. They received a general introduction on how to prepare a project with the aim to approach a donor and thus obtain external funding.
For most of the participants, it was the first time they were receiving a training on this subject, making it quite a challenge to get acquainted with the contents. However, most delegates were very active and some of them had even brought draft projects with them to receive the advise from the trainers and from Arnout de Koster, ITC-ILO's Programme Manager.
The DECP country manager, Jean-Marie Standaert also attended the training and during the breaks he held discussions with the participants from DECP's partner organisations.
