Improving APINDO's lobbying capacity

In the week of July 11 DECP together with ITC/ILO had consultations and workshops for the Indonesian Employers organisation Apindo. The workshops concentrated on strengthening of Lobbying by using research and relevant data. The workshops also discussed the added value the central and regional organisations of Apindo can provide to each other. The participants got a better idea how to improve the quality of Lobbying. The representatives of Apindo expressed their satisfaction with the content of the workshops and the way the material was presented. During the visit to Jakarta Jan Karel Bout of DECP had a number of meetings with board members of Apindo, the secretariat, Business people and politicians. The cooperation between DECP and Apindo is seen as fruitful and will be continued through consultation as well as through new workshops at the end of 2011 and in 2012.
