Funding options for the EAEO / training ATE at fundraising

The country manager for Tanzania Andrew Moore undertook a short mission to Dar es Salaam on 18 February 2014. The mission had two main objectives.

The first objective was to meet with the representative from Danish Industries   based in Dar es Salaam with regards to possible funding opportunities for the East African Employers Organisation (EAEO) now that the funding from Trade Mark East Africa (TMEA) will finish at the end of March 2014. Resulting from these discussions a number of potential ideas are being looked at by both organisations which will ensure that employers continue to be represented at an             East African Community level.

The mission also provided the opportunity for the DECP to make a presentation at a training programme organised for the Association of Tanzania Employers (ATE) on how they should approach fund raising both from their membership as well as from other organisations.
