Employer of the Year Award

Zambia Country Manager Jannes van der Velde attended and addressed a very lively event, the Zambia Federation of Employers (ZFE) awarded the Zambian Employer of the Year Award 2014 to Chibuluma and Kasansi, two mining companies. The two companies shared this years’ prize for the overall quality of their performance as employers and especially for their efforts in education and in programmes for Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).

The awards were handed over by Roland Msiska, the secretary to the Zambian cabinet, representing Zambia’s current acting president, mr. Guy Scott. The Employer of the Year Awards Event was set up in 2009 with the help of DECP to promote a positive and optimistic atmosphere within the Zambian business community.
