Developing the ATE Business Agenda for 2015-2017

The DECP Country Manager for Tanzania Andrew Moore undertook a mission to Dar es Salaam and to Zanzibar from 21-25 July 2014.

The visit to the Association of Tanzania Employers (ATE) in Dar es Salaam had two main objectives. The first was to develop further the work being undertaken in producing an “ATE Business Agenda” for 2015 -2017.  Discussions took place on possible issues to be included and the process for undertaking consultations with members both in Dar es Salaam as well as in the regions.

Discussions also took place on the future of the East African Employers Organisation (EAEO) and the process for appointing a new Coordinator to be based in Dar es Salaam.

A meeting also took place with the employers organisation in Zanzibar ZANEMA. The DECP briefed them on the developments with the EAEO and the process for the appointment of a new EAEO Coordinator.
