Developing OSH policy in Armenia - February
On 23 and 24 February 2011, the Republican Union of Employers of Armenia (RUEA), partner of DECP, organised a coordination meeting in the capital of Yerevan with representatives from the ILO-Moscow office, the German NordMetall and DECP (J.M. Standaert). The main objective of this meeting was to prepare for the 2nd Social Partnership Conference, dedicated on OSH (Occupational Health and Safety) in October 2011, also in Yerevan.
In the afternoon of the first day the above organisations were joined by representatives from the ministries of Health, of Labour and Labour Inspection as well as from the Trade Union Confederation and from 3 companies/organisations member of RUEA.
On the second day of his visit, Mr. Standaert organised a mini-workshop with OSH-experts of the RUEA-staff on implementing safety pictogrammes in an office environment (e.g. Exit sign for Emergency escape door, fire extinguisher).
