Counseling Small and Medium Enterprise

Thieu Korten, special advisor of DECP, visited the Camara de Industria, a partner of  DECP, for a regular visit to discuss running cooperation projects with the Camara. Meetings were held with the new general manager, Roberto Solorzano and the general manager of the helpdesk for SME’s CENAMI, Juan Carlos Amador. A specific project with the Camara is the drafting of  industrial guidelines for SME’s. In these guidelines the main problems which SME’s are facing in doing business will be described and as well as solutions how to overcome them and how to fulfil legal procedures, to get credit, etc..  
Future cooperation projects were also discussed. Such as a white paper with examples of problems SME’s are facing with legal procedures and permits. This paper will be the foundation for the lobby activities of the Camara. The Camara will probably also introduce an industrial Employer of the Year Award with a focus on sustainability and CSR. The EYA will also include an award for the person or organisation  which stimulated industrial development.
