Cooperating with ATE in 2015

The DECP Country Manager for Tanzania Andrew Moore undertook a short mission to the Association of Tanzania Employers (ATE) on 29 & 30 January 2015.

The mission provided the opportunity to look in detail at the workplan between ATE and the DECP for 2015. It was agreed that the ATE Business Agenda would be developed and published within the first half of 2015. It was also agreed that plans would be made and training undertaken for employer members of the Wage Councils in Tanzania in order to prepare them for wage negotiations in 2016.

The mission also provided the opportunity for the DECP to sort out a number of administrative details with ATE who is providing the services of one of the coordinators to the East African Employers Organisation.
