Communicating with members and completing the ATE Business Agenda

The DECP undertook one of its regular missions to the Association of Tanzania Employers (ATE) in Dar es Salaam. The major issues worked on during the mission included enhancing ATE communication with its members by producing not only a more comprehensive monthly “News Flash” but also a monthly “Economic Brief”. Another issue addressed was the final developments of the ATE “Business Agenda”. The other main issue was that of the late payment of subscriptions for 2011 and the implementation of an “Account Management” programme.

The mission also provided the DECP with the opportunity of visiting the employers organisation on the island of Zanzibar, ZANEMA, which is one of the founding         members of the East African employers Organisation (EAEO).
