CERM Macedonia: set-up of a pilot project for assisting members in calculation of social contributions
From 1 to 3 April, Jean-Marie Standaert attended several meetings organised by the Confederation of Employers of the Republic of Macedonia (CERM) with the aim to setup a new service for its members by assisting them in calculating the social contributions. Since 1 January 2009, strange enough, the government of Macedonia has set-up a new system of calculation of net wages and social contributions: each employer is supposed to submit on beforehand the calculations. Wages can only be paid once the calculation is approved by the new Revenue Office of the ministry of finance.
At the end of the meeting, Mr. Boshkov, president of CERM, announced the setting-up of apilot project in 3 towns: Skopje, Prilep and Kavadarci (situated east of Prilep). He also appointed a project-manager within the staff of CERM.
The new pilot-project is based on the Partnership Agreement that was signed end of February between CERM and DECP, represented by Mr. Ronald de Leij.
