BIZNESAlbania promotes Small and Medium Enterprises

On 2 and 3 February 2012, BIZNESALBANIA organised the BOSMIP 4 conference together with the Faculty of Economy of the University of Tirana. The conference was dedicated to the promotion of SME’s in Albania. The opening session was chaired by Mr. Luan Bregasi, president of BIZNESALBANIA, and addresses were given by the minister of economy, trade and energy, Mr. Naço, the governor of the central bank of Albania, Mr. Fullani, by the project-manager of BOSMIP 4, Mr. Russchen, project-manager of BUSINESSEUROPE, and by the rector of the University. At the end of this session a cooperation agreement between BIZNESALBANIA and the Faculty of Economy of the University of Tirana was officially signed.

During the conference, lectures were given about specific issues of SME’s by Albanian professors and by experts of the Finnish (EK) and Slovak employers (RUZ). The conference was attended by the country manager of DECP for Albania, Mr. J.M. Standaert.

It was the first time that such large and open exchange of views and information about SME’s was organised in Albania. In addition, BIZNESALBANIA and the Faculty of Economy of the University of Tirana decided to set-up a cooperation programme with the aim to increase the competences of the students with more practical knowledge about companies and enterprises.
