Annual General Meeting strengthens relationship DECP

The Annual General Meeting of the ASEAN Confederation of Employers (ACE) was held in Phnom Penh on 12 May 2017. This meeting provided the opportunity for the DECP to meet with a  number of members of ACE to discuss what steps could be taken to make ACE an effective employers voice at an ASEAN level. The proposal of holding a meeting of ACE members in Jakarta with the ASEAN Secretariat was agreed upon and plans will be made of this to take place in July 2017.

The mission to Phnom Penh also provided the opportunity for the DECP country manager Andrew Moore to visit the new offices of the Cambodian Federation of Employers and Business Associations (CAMFEBA) and to meet with the staff and Board members to discuss what progress had been made in the appointment of a new General Manager.
