Advisory mission: DECP visits several business organisations in Bolivia

DECP’s special advisor for Bolivia, Thieu Korten, visited Bolivia from 25th of July until  1st of August. Several business organisations were visited like the umbrella organisation for the department of Cochabamba, the Federación Empresarios Privados de Cochabamba (FEPC), and the Cámara de la Construcción in the same city. Future projects, like the publication of a quarterly magazine for the FEPC and a member’s survey were discussed. DECP will also investigate the support of an advisory centre for Corporate Social Responsibility in Cochabamba.  

Also the department of Oruro, a mining city in the Andes highlands, was visited.  Meetings were held with the Cámara de Comercio and the umbrella organisation Federación Empresarios Privados de Oruro. The most important issue discussed was the communication with the members and the establishment of an advisory centre for arbitration and reconciliation in Oruro.
