Advice to MONEF Mongolia Employers Federation

During a one week visit to Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, DECP agreed on an activity programme with the Mongolian Employers Federation (MONEF) for 2009. Parts of this activity programme are amongst others a joint training programme of DECP and MONEF for the regional branches in the rural areas and a legal advice by a DECP expert on labour related issues (labour market, labour law, minimum wages, and dismissal).
DECP strongly advised MONEF to start a newsletter by the beginning of 2009 and to set up a lobby priority plan.
DECP also paid a visit to the regional branch office in the province of Gobi-Sumber to discuss the current situation with the vice-president of the regional organisation DECP and to meet the governor of the province.
